366 lives · one year of humanity
One page per life. One story per day.
366 human stories, written around the world and chosen by human readers. Free forever. One copy will travel to space.
Your story will be read with care by real people. It may end up in the book, but no one can buy that chance.
Contribute from USD 2 · suggested USD 5 · if we don't reach 1,000 stories before December 5, 2026, we refund your contribution minus the transaction fee.

The manifesto
What goes untold also disappears.
We come into this world with limited time. There are moments that transformed us and are written nowhere. While we remember them, they exist. When we are gone, they could disappear too.
The Universal Book of Humanity is born from the desire to keep a small part of everything that is usually lost: 366 real stories, one for every day of the year.
We are not looking for famous lives. We are looking for human lives.
The promise, without fine print
This is the only thing we can promise you
What we do promise
Your story will be read
Other participants will read your story with care. That's the promise we can actually guarantee.
What we don't promise
Selection can't be bought
Your story may end up among the 366, but neither the contribution, fame, nor influence guarantees a place in the book.
The sacred numbers
The book rests on six numbers
- 366 final stories
- A full year of humanity, including February 29.
- 1 page per story
- In the final book, every story takes up the same space.
- 1,000 reservations to be born
- The project begins when it reaches 1,000 founding reservations.
- Contribution USD 2 minimum · USD 5 suggested · open amount
- The contribution helps launch the project and slows automated abuse. It never buys probability.
- 6 monthly waves
- Collection happens across 6 windows, closing on day 5.
- Stories by comparison 10 stories · 15 comparisons
- If a story doesn't get enough readings, it enters a rescue round.
How it works
A story's path to the book
01
You reserve your story
Writing opens on September 5, 2026. Your contribution confirms your intent and helps prevent automated submissions, but it does not buy a place in the book.
02
You tell the story you don't want to lose
Up to 3,000 characters. You can also add an optional audio of up to 3 minutes.
03
You read other humans' stories
You receive an anonymous group of stories. You won't know who wrote them, and you'll never have to judge your own.
04
You choose the one that stays with you
You read two stories at a time and answer one question: "Which of these two stayed with you after reading it?".
05
Participants choose a human council
The community elects the council that will review the finalist stories and compose the book with 366 stories: one for every day of the year.
06
The book becomes a ritual
One story per day, free forever, and one digital copy bound for space.
The Voyager story
In 1977, a few people chose humanity's message to the cosmos. Fifty years later, anyone can write and everyone can choose.
September 5, 1977
Voyager 1 lifts off carrying the Golden Record: humanity's message, curated by a few.
September 5, 2026
The Universal Book of Humanity opens: this time anyone writes, and everyone chooses.
September 5, 2027
Exactly 50 years after the Golden Record, humanity answers itself with a book.
Stone principles
Some things are not up for negotiation
Money never buys the probability of being in the book.
One life, one page. The contribution is per person, not per story.
The digital edition is free forever.
No advertising inside the book. No selling of data. Ever.
AI organizes and classifies; only human beings choose.
There are no reserved seats: famous people, powerful people and patrons take part like everyone, or not at all.

The book is born when we get there together.
Deadline: December 5, 2026
Your contribution is charged when you reserve. If we don't reach 1,000 reservations before December 5, 2026, we refund every person their contribution minus the gateway's transaction fee: that fee is the cost of taking part.
Not one peso of the funds is spent before crossing the threshold: in the ledger they appear as conditioned funds.

- You will be read by real humans.

Honest questions, straight answers
The contribution is not a price: it is deliberate friction. Paying with a real method stops bots and mass submissions, and confirms there is a person behind every page. That is why the floor is USD 2: enough to stop automation, not to exclude anyone.
It guarantees that your story will be read with care by other humans, and that you take part in the selection. It does not guarantee a place among the 366: that is the honest lottery, and we say it up front.
No. Never. It is the first stone rule: money does not buy probability. The contribution field is open because some people want to give more to the project, not because it changes anything.
We refund every contribution minus the gateway's transaction fee (approximately 5% + USD 0.50). The charge happens immediately when you reserve, but if we don't reach 1,000 before December 5, 2026, the project isn't born and every person receives their refund within about 10 to 30 business days, depending on their bank. The fee is not returned: it is the cost of taking part, and we say it up front. Until the threshold is crossed, the funds remain untouched.
Writing opens on September 5, 2026. By reserving you are in, and we will email you when your window opens. Story submissions close on March 5, 2027.
Yes. We verify uniqueness, not identity: what matters to us is that every page belongs to a distinct person, not your documents. We never ask for legal identification or biometrics.
The planned license is Creative Commons BY 4.0: you keep the rights to your story; anyone may translate and share it with attribution; the version in your original language is canonical forever.
No. Nobody. Presidents, celebrities and patrons take part like everyone (same contribution, same oath, same blind jury) or they don't take part. None of the 366 pages can be bought or reserved through influence.
The minimum: your public name or pseudonym, your email, your country if you choose to share it, and a technical fingerprint of the payment method to ensure each person founds a single page. No third-party trackers, no selling of data. And deleting means deleting.
First, the participants themselves: each one reads an anonymous batch and chooses by resonance, in duels of two stories. With that ranking, a human editorial council reads the finalists and composes the calendar of 366. AI only organizes; only humans choose.
